Sorting

Configure sorting on Search & Collection Pages

Create Sorting Configuration

  • Click on Add Sorting/Edit Sorting.

  • Add new sort: Create a new sorting configuration and give it a unique name.

  • Add existing sort: Use an existing sorting configuration.

  • NOTE: If you use an existing sorting configuration, any changes made will automatically apply to all groups using that same configuration.

  • After creating or selecting a sorting configuration, define the sorting criteria for various options like "Best Matches," "New Arrivals", etc.

  • NOTE: The default group will have predefined sorting for all options. You can override this behavior by creating a custom sorting configuration for a specific group. If a sorting option isn't defined in a specific group's configuration, it will inherit the sorting rules from the default group. Example- you have created a collection group for new arrivals collection, where you want to sort products by 'Creation Date'. You can create a sorting configuration for 'Best Matches' and the system will automatically use the sorting configuration for A-Z, Z-A, etc from the Default Group.

  • Click on 'Add Best Matches' to define sorting for Best Matches.

  • Once the configuration is defined, click 'Save' and then 'Save and Publish'.

  • NOTE: 'Save', refreshes the user interface, and 'Save and Publish' will publish the sorting to the live store.

Sorting Options

The following are the sorting options available in the sorting menu:

  1. Bury Out of Stock

    • Pushes out-of-stock products lower in the product listing.

  2. Relevancy/Personalization Score

    • For Search: Sorts products based on search relevancy first, followed by personalization score.

    • If products share the same search relevancy, they will be sorted by their personalization score.

  3. Shopify Merchandising

    • For Collection Pages: Orders products according to the merchandising sequence defined in Shopify.

  4. Creation Date

    • Sorts products by their creation or addition date in Shopify.

    • Ascending: Oldest to newest.

    • Descending: Newest to oldest.

  5. Variant Position

    • By default, only one variant per product is displayed. This option sorts products based on the first variant created in Shopify.

    • Example: If a product has variants such as "Blue Plain," "Red Striped," and "Green Dotted," the variant "Blue Plain" will be displayed first.

  6. Price

    • Sorts products by their price.

    • Ascending: Lowest to highest price.

    • Descending: Highest to lowest price.

  7. Product Title

    • Sorts products alphabetically by their title.

    • Ascending: A-Z.

    • Descending: Z-A.

  8. Best Sellers

    • Sorts products so that the best-selling items appear at the top.

  9. Most Engaged

    • Prioritizes products that have the highest engagement at the top.

  10. Most Converted

    • Sorts products based on their conversion rate, with the highest converters at the top.

  11. Highest Margin

    • Displays products with the highest profit margin first.

  12. Lowest Margin

    • Displays products with the lowest profit margin first.

  13. Personalized Baseline

    • Sorts products based on the User Profile. This option is available only for collection pages that do not use the Relevancy/Personalization Score.

  14. Bury Products on Sale

    • Pushes products that are on sale lower in the product listing.

  15. Boost Products on Sale

    • Prioritizes products that are on sale at the top.

  16. Lowest Inventory

  17. Highest Inventory

Stacking Sorting Options

  • You can stack multiple sorting options to fine-tune the order of products.

  • Example: If you want in-stock, best-selling items to appear at the top of the list, you would stack the sorting options as shown below:
