Click on Add Rules/Edit Rules.
Add new rules: Create a new rule and give it a unique name.
Add existing rules: Use an existing rule.
NOTE: If you use an existing rule , any changes made will automatically apply to all groups using that same rule.
After creating or selecting a rule, you can create/edit different rule types-
NOTE: Any rule defined in the default group (collections/search) will be applied for all collections and search pages. You can create a specific collection/search group to overwrite the default/global rules.
Once the configuration is defined, click 'Save' and then 'Save and Publish'.
NOTE: 'Save', refreshes the user interface, and 'Save and Publish' will publish the sorting to the live store.
The following are the rule types available in the rules menu:
Pin
Pins specific products to fixed positions within search or collection pages.
Once pinned, a product automatically moves to the top of the search/collection page.
You can drag and drop pinned products to rearrange their order.
Pinned products will override any existing sorting configuration.
Boost
Elevates the visibility of products that match specified criteria.
Products can be boosted based on Shopify or Frenzy AI tags.
Example: Boost products with the Shopify Product Type “Shoes.”
Boosted products will override any existing sorting configuration.
Bury
Pushes products that match certain criteria to the end of search and collection pages.
Products can be buried based on Shopify or Frenzy AI tags.
Buried products will override any existing sorting configuration.
Hide
Removes products that match specified criteria from search and collection pages.
Products can be hidden based on Shopify or Frenzy AI tags.
Filter
Displays only products that match specified criteria within search and collection pages.
Products can be filtered based on Shopify or Frenzy AI tags.
Product Grouping
Groups products with matching attribute values to ensure they are displayed together
The "Count" section controls how many products are displayed in each group.
Example: Group products by a specific color or pattern with a count of 5. This ensures that products with a particular color or pattern are displayed together, with a maximum of 5 products per group.
Note: The attribute must have a single value and a default value. The attribute data type is defined when creating a filter in the Frenzy Dashboard. Contact support if you encounter any issues while setting up product grouping.
Automated Collection
Automates a collection to display a fixed number of products matching specific criteria. This rule is used in conjunction with sorting.
Example: To automate a "Best Sellers" collection that displays only the top 20 best-selling in-stock products with matching tags, follow these steps:
Create an "Automated Collection" rule to display 20 products.
Create a "Filter" rule to select products with matching tags.
Create a sorting configuration to order the products by best sellers.
Contact support if you encounter any issues while setting up automated collections.
