By default all Products, Collection Merchandising and Product Metafields are synced with Frenzy AI automatically at regular intervals.
To include Collection Metafields and Product Multi-Currency information in the sync, please activate the corresponding toggle switch in the dashboard. (Refer to the image below for guidance)
If you need to manually initiate syncing, you can do so by navigating to the appropriate sync settings on the Dashboard and starting the sync process.
Frenzy AI offers two methods for syncing data: All Data and Specific Data.
All Data Selecting this option will sync all data for the chosen category. For example, if you click "Sync All Products," all products will be synced.
Specific Data This option allows you to sync only the selected items. For example, if you click "Sync Specific Collection Merchandising," only the merchandising data for that specific collection will be synced.
Jobs of the same type are queued, meaning that if you start syncing all product data and then initiate syncing specific product data, the specific product data sync will begin only after the all product data sync is complete.
Below are some uses cases for the two methods of Syncing.
All Product Data Sync: Use this when a new filter is created, a large number of products are added to Shopify, or other bulk changes are made.
Specific Collection Sync: Use this when you've manually updated the merchandising of a specific collection in Shopify and want to see the changes reflected in Frenzy AI.
You can monitor the progress of your sync operations through the 'Sync History' panel in the Frenzy Dashboard. This panel provides a comprehensive overview of both currently running and previously completed sync jobs.
Created By: Allows you to differentiate and track the progress of automatic jobs versus manual jobs.
Sync Type: Enables you to focus on the progress of specific types of sync jobs, such as product syncs or collection merchandising syncs.
Refresh: Updates the 'Progress' and 'Status' fields for all jobs listed, giving you the latest information on each sync operation.
Time Taken: Displays the duration it took to complete each type of job. Reviewing the time taken for previous jobs can help you estimate the completion time for new manual sync operations.
Frenzy uses both automated and manual syncs to provide timely updates. However, in some cases, optimizing your store's configuration can improve sync performance.
Optimizing Collections Sync
Large and unused collections can significantly increase sync times. Consider the following examples:
Example 1: A store has over 20 collections, each containing more than 5,000 products, but these collections are no longer in use. In this situation, it's advisable to remove such collections from the Shopify platform.
Example 2: A headless store has over 20 collections, each containing more than 5,000 products, but 95% of these products are inactive. Here, it's best to remove inactive products from the collections.
