# Frenzy AI <-> Klaviyo User Identification

Frenzy AI uses the [Shopify](https://www.shopify.com/ca/legal/cookies#merchant-storefronts) `_shopify_y` cookie to identify users across all personalization touchpoints on the website.

This user ID is then mapped to an email address through the following scenarios:

* **Email Sign-Up Forms**
When a user submits their email via a signup form, Frenzy AI links the Shopify user ID with the provided email address.
* **Post-Purchase**
Once a user completes a purchase, Frenzy AI links the Shopify user ID with the email address used at checkout. Please note that the purchase must occur on the website, and the product should have been added to the cart from the PDP or any other Frenzy AI-powered touchpoint.
* **Website Visits via Email Campaigns**
When a user clicks through an email (e.g., from Klaviyo) and lands on the website, Frenzy AI connects the Shopify user ID with the email address tied to that campaign.
