# Email Recommendations
**Email Recommendations** can be created from the **Recommendation Widgets** section.
Widgets are categorized into three primary types:
1. General:
* Used to display recommendations based on customer interactions, as well as general collection-based carousels.
2. Cart Abandoned:
* Displays recommendations based on similar or cross-sell products that were added to the cart but not purchased
3. Post Purchase:
* Shows recommendations based on similar or cross-sell products that the customer has already purchased
### General Recommendations
There are three types of **General Recommendations**:
* **Personalized:**
These recommendations are based on user interactions such as clicks, add-to-cart actions, and purchase history on the website. They also include a fallback baseline that is displayed when the user profile is not available. This fallback can include Best Sellers, Most Engaged, Highest Converted, Highest Margin, or collection-specific and filter-based recommendations.
* **Custom:**
This type can be used to display recommendations such as Best Sellers, Most Engaged, Highest Converted, Highest Margin, or collection-specific and filter-based recommendations.
* **Recently Viewed:**
Displays products that the user has recently viewed on the website.
### Cart Abandoned & Post Purchase:
There are two main types of **Cart Abandoned** and **Post Purchase** recommendations:
* **Similar Products:**
Displays products that are similar to the item added to the cart or purchased by the user.
* **Cross-Sell:**
Displays complementary or related products based on the item added to the cart or purchased by the user.
### UI Settings
When you create an **Email Widget** in Frenzy AI, a code snippet is generated that can be directly added to your Email Service Provider (ESP) platform.
Since each email layout may vary, you can define the container width where the widget will be placed. The content of the Email Widget will automatically adjust to fit the selected width.
Once the width is configured, you can preview the widget using the built-in WYSIWYG editor. You can further customize the appearance by updating the snippet styling, product thumbnails, and product description settings, and instantly preview these changes in real time.
### Preview & HTML Snippet
Once the UI settings are configured, click on the **Save and Publish** button.
You can use the **Preview** button to view how the recommendations will appear in the email.
After reviewing, copy the HTML snippet and add it to your Email Service Provider (ESP) to include the recommendations in your emails.
To view recommendations for a specific user, please enter the user’s email ID in the designated field. The system will then fetch and display personalized recommendations based on that user’s interactions, such as browsing behavior, add-to-cart activity, and purchase history.
If a user profile is not available or has limited data, the system will automatically display fallback recommendations based on predefined baselines.
